Baristas Take Nail-Biter Over Death Stars
|
In a low-scoring clash between Silver Lake and Detroit, pitcher Cesar Garcia was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned player of the game honors for Silver Lake in the 2-1 win. The 4th-place Baristas improved to 63-67.
Silver Lake won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With no outs and Kagera Sokoine on the mound for Detroit, right fielder Chris McNair hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Baristas fans to their feet.
"The game of baseball will test you," said Diego Aguirre, the Silver Lake skipper. "This one tested us."
