The Astoria Argonauts handed the Fort Worth Cats a loss at Golden Fleece Park. The final score was 7-6. Jesús Lópes was named player of the game for Astoria. In addition to his 1 single and 2 home runs, he scored 3 runs and drove in 3. He also added 1 walk. Astoria reliever Jalen Mitchelle picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Shih-k'ai Mi absorbed the loss. Astoria, at 70-59, occupies third place in the Darryl Kile League Cito Gaston League.

Monte Irvin had a nice at-bat for the Argonauts with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, the center fielder drew a walk, which would prove important in the Astoria win.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Lópes said.
