Freeze Need Extra Frames to Get Past Raiders
The Minneapolis Freeze managed to get by the Reno Raiders, 6-5, at House of Pain. Minneapolis shortstop Tommy Moore took player of the game honors. Minneapolis reliever Alex Alvarez picked up the win, bumping his record to 5-4. Diego Contreras was collared with the loss. Pedro García, credited with the save, is now 8 for 9 in save opportunities.

Moore had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a 2-2 slider from Diego Contreras, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Freeze a 6-5 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for Moore.

"It feels good to get this one," Moore told the Minneapolis Today.

The Freeze bumped their record to 66-60 with this latest triumph.
