The Bronx Bombers dealt the Peoria Caterpillars a 5-4 loss at Bronx Ballpark. Curtis Downing was the star on offense. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The last-place Bombers now have a win-loss record of 48-79.

Downing had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the third inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Bombers went on to win.
