Multi-HR Day for Ito as Texans Overpower Pioneers, 6-4
The Dallas Texans bested the Vancouver Pioneers, 6-4, at "The Fort" at B.C. Place. Tsunayoshi Ito was named player of the game. He hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Dallas reliever Josuke Fujihara was the winner. His record is now 4-0. Carlos Solís took the loss. The win brings the Texans to 17-12, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the eighth, with the game tied, Roger Washington was at the plate when Dallas scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Texans to go in front, 5-4.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Washington.
