Mustangs Stay Hot, Beat Fuego
|
Mile High starter Jose Albertrani put a stranglehold on the Santa Fe offense. The right-hander had complete command of his splitter in leading the Mustangs to a 4-1 win. Kenkichi Kodo saved it for Mile High. The win brings the Mustangs to 13-16, a soft start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.
José Rea drove in one run for Mile High. The 30-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Oliver Romero. It was his 12th RBI of the season.
"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Mile High manager Kinnojo Shirai.
