Chicago second baseman Norishige Iwamoto had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Iwamoto went 3 for 3 with a triple and 2 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once, even as Fairfield beat the Titans, 5-4. Iwamoto was named the player of the game despite the loss. Paul Calamy notched his 10th save in 12 chances. Fairfield is now 56-66, while Chicago is 55-67.

The Flash got a big at-bat from second baseman Taylor Bastien. For the game, Bastien went 1-4 with a hit by pitch. In the top of the ninth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 144th hit of the season gave Fairfield a 5-4 lead.

"I felt good up there," said Bastien. "I saw the ball well."
