Minneapolis designated hitter Mike Parlato had a good game, even if his team did not. The Freeze dropped a 9-3 decision to Joplin at The Ice Box. Parlato was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times. The Fireballs bumped their record to 73-49 with this latest triumph.

Kenny Butler aided the Joplin cause with a 2-run single in the top of the first. For the game, the shortstop went 1-5, while adding 2 RBI.
