The Reno Raiders topped the Pasadena Bumblebees, 6-5, with third baseman Pancho Martínez playing a big role. Martínez went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Raiders in the win. The win boosts the Raiders to 54-68. The loss puts the Bumblebees at 47-77.

Charlie Hide had a big run-scoring single for the Raiders in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Reno leading 4-3 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Nelson Martinez and stroked the single to center. It was his 3rd hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Raiders ahead, 5-3.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Martínez. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
