Extra-Inning Win by Cats over Aeropostales
The Fort Worth Cats eked out a 6-5 win versus the Indian Wells Aeropostales at Stars Field. Nobody did more than second baseman Kunihiro Shibata, who captured player of the game honors. The win was credited to Shih-k'ai Mi in relief. His record improves to 4-2. Chung Chio took the loss. The Cats bumped their record to 68-54 with this latest triumph.

This game was not decided until late. With one out in the top of the 11th, Jerry Schnoor hit a sacrifice fly. The Cats took the lead, 6-5.

"The game of baseball will test you," said Walt Dobson, the Fort Worth skipper. "This one tested us."
