Extra-Inning Win by Argonauts over Bombers
|
The Astoria Argonauts got a strong performance from pitcher Ryouhei Kondo, who stymied the Bronx offense en route to a 4-2 win at Golden Fleece Park. The Argonauts bumped their record to 67-57 with this latest triumph.
Robby Lucero, who is tied for 5th in the DKL in extra base hits with 41, chipped in for Astoria with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the tenth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Lucero said.
