Raptors Win at Detroit, 7-6
|
The Omaha Raptors knocked off the Detroit Death Stars, 7-6, at The Death Star. Shaun Sharp, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Omaha won. The left fielder was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Omaha is now 45-76.
Hisamitsu Kondo, who is tied for 10th in the DKL in extra base hits with 38, aided the Omaha cause with a run-scoring ground out in the top of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop drew 1 walk.
"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Kondo, "but we got it done."
