The Fort Worth Cats topped the Albuquerque Cacti by the score of 5-3, with the largest share of the credit going to third baseman Jerry Schnoor. Schnoor was 3 for 4 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI for the Cats. Austin Meyers was the winner. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 10 hits, with 2 walks and 2 strikeouts. The Cats bumped their record to 67-53 with this latest triumph.
Schnoor contributed a big hit, a 2-run single, for Fort Worth in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-2, Schnoor took a changeup from Alex Nambo and stroked the single to left-center. His 72nd hit of the season allowed the Cats to leap in front, 4-3.
