The Fairfield Flash got a superb performance from pitcher Leland Bullins, but the Reno Rockets still won the game, 2-1. Bullins was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 8 innings of 7-hit ball. The Rockets bumped their record to 63-56 with this latest triumph.

Jen-djieh Chen had a nice at-bat for the Rockets with one out in the top of the 12th. With runners on 1st and 2nd, the right fielder drew a walk, which would prove important in the Reno win.

"Enjoyed this one," Chen told the Reno News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
