Cats Need Extras to Top Canadians
The Vancouver Canadians got a superb performance from first baseman José Rodríguez. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Fort Worth. The Cats won the game, 12-10. In spite of the loss, Rodríguez was named the player of the game. He went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Everton Mailes picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 9-5. Philippe Vincent was tagged with the loss. The Cats improved to 66-52.

It could have been a different outcome for Fort Worth, had it not been for Hyeon-cheong Ko, the 29-year old first baseman . Ko contributed a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put Fort Worth up, 12-9.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Ko.
