Both teams had their chances, but the Antioch Coal Miners eventually prevailed at The Coal Mine.

Antioch starter Alejandro Ortega had a strong outing against the Calgary Kodiaks at The Coal Mine. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 2-1 win. Edgardo Sáenz got the save, his 7th in 9 chances.

The Coal Miners got a big at-bat from right fielder Tucker Slade. For the game, Slade was 2-3 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 16th double of the season gave Antioch a 1-0 lead.

"There are no moral victories," said losing manager José Díaz.
