Raptors Lose, 7-3, at The Ice Box
|
Minneapolis Freeze starter Marcos Colón was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Omaha Raptors, 7-3. Colón, now 4-9, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 7, walking 4, and allowing 1 earned run. The Freeze bumped their record to 62-55 with this latest triumph.
Yen-nien Tong, who is tied for 10th in the DKL in stolen bases with 26, aided the Minneapolis cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the third. For the game, the center fielder went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI.
"I liked his command," said Minneapolis manager John Justin. "Marcos was throwing strikes."
