Jen-djieh Chen batted in 3 runs to lead Reno to a win over Silver Lake. The final score was 10-1. Chen chipped in with 1 single and 1 home run. The Rockets bumped their record to 59-55 with this latest triumph.

Milton Cloarec put Reno in front, 5-0, when he took Mike Wolcott downtown. His grand slam home run came with two out in the bottom of the second. It was his 7th home run of the season.

"We looked pretty good up and down," said Reno manager Tom Morton.
