The Canton Paczkis and Fort Worth Cats met at Mckinley Park to settle a score.
The inspired effort of Canton center fielder James Bell was not enough to prevent a 6-4 loss to the Fort Worth Cats. Bell was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Everton Mailes converted his 27th save in 30 tries.
Joe Sheridan hit a 2-run double off Luis Marés in the top of the sixth, which put the Cats in front, 5-4. In addition to the double, Sheridan had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.
"This win gets us that much closer to where we want to be," Sheridan said in postgame remarks.
The Cats bumped their record to 64-51 with this latest triumph.
