The Astoria Argonauts downed the Calgary Kodiaks, 6-3, at Foothills Stadium. Edmund McDonald led the way, going 3-for-5 for Astoria. The Argonauts bumped their record to 63-53 with this latest triumph.

McDonald contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Astoria in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, McDonald took a changeup from Neil Coffin and stroked the home run to left. His 12th home run of the season allowed the Argonauts to leap in front, 3-1.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," McDonald said.
