Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Cacti
|
The Albuquerque Cacti got a stellar performance from pitcher Steve Rosenberger, who handcuffed the Indian Wells offense en route to a 3-2 win at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. The Cacti bumped their record to 66-51 with this latest triumph.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Albuquerque trailing 2-1, Chris Hillier hit a curveball from Kevin Spurr to right for a 2-run home run. Just like that, the Cacti had a walk-off win.
"I liked his command," said Albuquerque manager Tom Robertson. "Steve was throwing strikes."
