The Bowling Green Racers eked out a 2-1 win versus the Chicago Titans at The War Dome. Nobody did more than pitcher Jonathan Burton, who captured player of the game honors. The winning pitcher was Burton, now 3-12. He tossed 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 5. Nelson Cardona converted his 6th save in 6 tries.
The Racers got a big at-bat from first baseman Won-keun Park. For the game, Park went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 12th home run of the season gave Bowling Green a 2-1 lead.
"We're scuffling right now," said losing manager Tom Klein.
