Raptors Get Road Win, 6-4
|
Despite a great performance by Joplin shortstop Manny Gonzáles, the Omaha Raptors defeated the Fireballs by the score of 6-4 at The Firepit. Gonzáles was 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Michiomi Moteki, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 4 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 7. His record now stands at 6-11. Omaha is now riding a 3-game win streak.
The Raptors got a big at-bat from left fielder Marcos Ortíz. For the game, Ortíz went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the sixth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Omaha a 4-3 lead.
