Titans Drop Another One
|
The Bowling Green Racers topped the Chicago Titans by the score of 8-6, with the largest share of the credit going to left fielder Doug Sanders. Sanders was 3 for 3 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Racers. Daniel Carrasco, credited with the win, is now 4-4. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. The 4th-place Titans have lost 5 straight games.
John Lacenaire drew 1 walk for Bowling Green. The 23-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Arturo Mercado. It was his 17th walk of the season.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Sanders.
