Freeze Lose, 5-2, at The Coal Mine
|
Antioch beat Minneapolis on the strength of starter Yeong-suk Kim's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 5-2 win. In 6 innings, Kim surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Edgardo Sáenz converted his 6th save in 8 tries.
Ichizo Hamada, who was drafted in the two round of the 2025 draft, aided the Antioch cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman went 1 for 4.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Antioch manager Hervé Barthélémy.
The Coal Miners, at 74-38, have now won 4 straight.
