The Peoria Caterpillars powered past the Reno Raiders, 12-7, at Excavatar Park. Eric Farlin slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3, to lead the charge. The winner was Peoria reliever Nate Chapman, now 1-0. The loser was Théophile Richard. The Caterpillars improve their record to 53-58 with the win over Reno.

Farlin had a big at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the bottom of the first inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Caterpillars went on to win.

"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Farlin.
