Pitcher Wilson Polk was sensational for the Vancouver Canadians in his team's 3-1 triumph over the Bowling Green Racers. Polk received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Polk got the win, improving to 5-9. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 7.1 innings. Polk allowed no earned runs. Vancouver now has a 3-game win streak.

The Canadians got a big at-bat from center fielder Tameyoshi Okuda. For the game, Okuda was 1-4. In the top of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 42nd hit of the season gave Vancouver a 1-0 lead.
