Peoria Caterpillars starter Morihiro Hashimoto was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Detroit Death Stars, 4-2. Adam Stickells converted his 3rd save in 6 tries. The Caterpillars sit in 4th place in the Darryl Kile League Cito Gaston League with a record of 52-56.

Augusto Cavazos had a big 2-run single for the Caterpillars in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Peoria leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from Andres Perez and stroked the single to right. It was his 117th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Caterpillars ahead, 3-0.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Cavazos.
