Argonauts Win at Reno, 5-4
|
House of Pain was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Astoria Argonauts and the Reno Raiders.
The Astoria Argonauts picked up a win at House of Pain, knocking off the Reno Raiders, 5-4. Starting pitcher Ryouhei Kondo was an essential part of his team's success. The Argonauts bumped their record to 60-49 with this latest triumph.
Edmund McDonald contributed to the Astoria win with a 2-run single in the top of the ninth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"Ryouhei was throwing strikes, locating well," said Astoria manager Bernard Jacq.
