Islanders Clip Armada in Tight Contest
|
The Hawaii Islanders faced a tough opponent in Quebec pitcher Yohann Bosler, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Aloha Stadium by a final score of 4-3. Bosler went 8 innings and allowed 1 earned run. The win was Pedre Pedrogo's in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Joachim Doucet took the loss for Quebec. The loss lowers the Quebec record to 15-11.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Hawaii trailing 3-2, Baber Davi hit a curveball from Joachim Doucet to left for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Islanders had a walk-off win.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Davi. "And not try to do too much."
