The Reno Rockets got a good effort from starter Guo-quiang Zhào in defeating the Vancouver Canadians at Red Rocket Field. The final score was 2-1. Ramón Gonzáles picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Andy Ryan was tagged with the loss. Reno is now riding a 3-game win streak.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Reno designated hitter Milton Cloarec, facing Andy Ryan, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Rockets the 2-1 win.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Vancouver manager Jon Crowe.
