Racers Get Road Win, 5-3
|
The Bowling Green Racers trumped the Fort Worth Cats, 5-3, at LaGrave Field. Bowling Green pinch hitter Paul Rice was named player of the game for his performance. He went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Racers bumped their record to 55-50 with this latest triumph.
Rice had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-0 fastball from Callum Butler, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Racers a 5-3 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for Rice.
Rice called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
