The Fort Worth Cats used an offensive barrage to beat the Omaha Raptors, 13-2, at LaGrave Field. John Bloom led the way, going 4-for-4 for Fort Worth. The first-place Cats have won 6 in a row.

Ruy Cerca aided the Fort Worth cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the shortstop drove in one run.

Omaha manager Jim Fernández called the blowout loss "a real dud."
