Kline Helps Cats Run Win Streak to 3
|
Getting a good performance from right fielder Curt Kline, the Fort Worth Cats defeated the Detroit Death Stars, 9-6. Kline was 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Cats. Everton Mailes notched his 23rd save in 26 chances. The Cats bumped their record to 53-46 with this latest triumph.
Carlos Torres aided the Fort Worth cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman was 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks.
