Masayuki Kimura put on a hitting clinic today as the Vancouver Canadians dumped the Reno Raiders 9-1 at House of Pain.

The Vancouver first baseman made Reno defenders earn their pay, lashing Reno pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Kimura said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Masayuki Kimura doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run double in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
