Getting an impressive start from Dave Conboy, Joplin beat Albuquerque by the score of 6-0. Joplin goes to 59-38. The win puts them 4 games up in their division.
Shane Appel aided the Joplin cause with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Conboy told the Joplin Bulletin.
