The Reno Raiders scored a 4-3 win versus the Vancouver Canadians at House of Pain. Reno pitcher Maurice Bignold nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Reno reliever Yuki Kokawa was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Andy Ryan took the loss for Vancouver. Reno occupies 4th place in the Darryl Kile League Joe Torre Division at 42-54.

Reno won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With two outs and Andy Ryan on the mound for Vancouver, catcher Gary Carter hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Raiders fans to their feet.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Bignold told the Reno News.
