Xuan Slugs Texans to 9-7 Win
|
A 4-RBI performance from the fan favorite Tzu-yu Xuan helped the Dallas Texans beat the Seattle Sasquatch, 9-7. Aurelien Bonello earned the win to go to 1-0. He allowed 3 earned runs on 5 hits, with 3 walks and 7 strikeouts. Earning his 1st save for Dallas was Maximino Pato.
Bryce Rice had a big run-scoring single for the Texans in the bottom of the second inning. With Dallas trailing 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a cutter from Matt Nolan and stroked the single to left. It was his 2nd hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Texans ahead, 2-1.
"Losing is easy," said Rice. "Winning is hard."
Dallas, now 2-1, has played well in the early going.
