Baristas Come Back Late, Nip Racers
|
Bowling Green got a terrific performance from pitcher Masamichi Takeda, but it wasn't enough to beat the Silver Lake Baristas. Silver Lake won the Ashton Gate contest, 4-3. Takeda was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He came in in relief and pitched to 20 batters . The Baristas sit in last place in the Nick Adenhart League Tony La Russa Division with a record of 43-51.
Tom Hanson drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances for Silver Lake. The slick-fielding second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Jaiden Harris. It was his 6th walk of the season.
