Freeze Score Late to Upend Raiders, 4-2
|
Minneapolis Freeze starter Andrew Johnson was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Reno Raiders, 4-2. The Freeze bumped their record to 53-42 with this latest triumph.
Had Yashpal Rob not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Rob hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-1, in favor of the Freeze.
"I really like what we did out there today," Johnson said after the game.
