The Espanola Bomberos got a superb performance from pitcher Kagetoki Ohayashi. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Reno. The Rockets won the game, 4-3. In spite of the loss, Ohayashi was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings allowing 2 runs. Harsha Majoo picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-4. Lex Herrewijn was tagged with the loss. The Rockets bumped their record to 49-45 with this latest triumph.

This game was not decided until late. With one out in the top of the ninth, Matt Miller hit a sacrifice fly. The Rockets took the lead, 4-3.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Miller.
