Canadians Win at Fort Worth, 7-5
|
The Vancouver Canadians defeated the Fort Worth Cats, 7-5, in Nick Adenhart League action at LaGrave Field, with Vancouver pitcher Alberto Ramírez named player of the game. Thomas Kearton, credited with the save, is now 7 for 10 in save opportunities. With the win, the Canadians have a record of 41-52.
The Canadians got a big at-bat from third baseman Horiuchi Rin. For the game, Rin was 3 for 4 with 3 singles. In the top of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 32nd hit of the season gave Vancouver a 2-1 lead.
"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Ramírez.
