Rhinos Solve Earthquakes, 5-2
|
Rubber City Rhinos starter Sigfrid Arnim turned in a top-notch performance against the San Francisco Earthquakes at The Rubber Grounds. The result was a win for the Rhinos, 5-2. Arnim went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 0, and struck out 7. His record improves to 3-3. Earning his 7th save for Rubber City was Shinzo Sasaki.
Ed Lenhardt went 1 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 against the Earthquakes. In the bottom of the first inning, he reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run, putting Rubber City in front, 1-0.
"Enjoyed this one," Arnim told the Rubber City Herald. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
The Earthquakes fall to 8-17 and continue to sputter in the early going.
