Cacti Come Back Late, Nip Paczkis
The Albuquerque Cacti did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Canton Paczkis at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Kanichi Kaneshiro, who captured player of the game honors. Albuquerque reliever Willie Fierro picked up the win, bumping his record to 6-4. Cory Kieck was collared with the loss. The Cacti bumped their record to 49-44 with this latest triumph.

Kijuro Masuda was the walk-off hero for Albuquerque. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cacti first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Masuda.
