The first-place Joplin Fireballs took on the Pasadena Bumblebees at The Firepit.
The Joplin Fireballs got a stellar performance from pitcher Pat Kirk, who handcuffed the Pasadena offense en route to a 7-2 win at The Firepit. Joplin has now won 6 straight.
Victor Portillo aided the Joplin cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first. For the game, the center fielder drew 1 walk in 3 trips to the plate.
