Calgary beat Bronx at Bronx Ballpark, eking out a 3-2 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Neil Coffin, who earned player of the game honors. Coffin got the win, improving to 5-3. He allowed 2 hits and walked 5 over 6 innings. Coffin allowed 1 earned run. The Bombers, at 34-58, have lost 6 straight games.

It could have been a different outcome for Calgary, had it not been for Apupa Vuppula, the 30-year old second baseman . Vuppula contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Calgary up, 3-0.

Bronx manager Carl Smith said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
