Hernández has 3 hit night to Power Raptors Offense
The Omaha Raptors bested the Reno Raiders by a score of 8-6, with designated hitter Gerardo Hernández getting the main credit. On the day, Hernández was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 6 RBI and scoring once for the Raptors. Reliever Luis Antonio Rodríguez picked up the win. His record improves to 1-1. Virisimo Antona took the loss. Even with the win, the Raptors have a dismal 29-59 record.

Hernández contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Omaha in the bottom of the sixth. With his team trailing 3-0, Hernández took a cutter from Maurice Bignold and stroked the home run to left-center. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Raptors to leap in front, 4-3.

"I know we have our doubters," said Reno manager Chris Brading. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
