The Reno Raiders bested the Detroit Death Stars, 7-3, at House of Pain. Phil Goodenough was named player of the game. He went 3 for 4 with 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Gerry LaForest, credited with the save, is now 16 for 23 in save opportunities. The 4th-place Raiders improved to 39-47.

Reno grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Goodenough, who is tied for 4th in the DKL in bases on balls with 63, hit a run-scoring single. His 65th hit of the season put the Raiders out in front, 4-3.

Goodenough told a Reno News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
