Thrilling Victory Pushes Freeze Win Streak to 8
|
Minneapolis left fielder Ernesto Argueta had a 4-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Pasadena Bumblebees, 7-5. Minneapolis reliever Kyoji Rin picked up the win, upping his record to 5-2. Vince Johnson shouldered the loss. The third-place Freeze have won 8 in a row.
Argueta had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 2-2 fastball from Vince Johnson, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Freeze a 7-5 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Argueta.
"Enjoyed this one," Argueta told the Minneapolis Today. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
