|
Santa Fe pitcher Oliver Romero did his part in helping his team beat the South Carolina Bombers, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The save went to Jun'ichi Suzuki, his 9th this season. The Bombers fall to 11-14 and continue their uneasy start to the 2034 season.
The Fuego got a big at-bat from designated hitter Wayne Soileau. For the game, Soileau was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Santa Fe a 4-2 lead.
Soileau called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
